Meet the Team
Dr. Kylie Archer
Dr. Kylie Archer established Island Sands Dental in 2004, with the vision to provide a welcoming family-friendly practice. Dr. Kylie has been a dentist for more than 25 years. Dr. Kylie is married with a daughter and twin boys. She enjoys time out with her family and her ever growing hobby farm.
Dr Lynlee Tatnell
Dr. Lynlee Tatnell graduated from James Cook University in 2018 and has taken her passion for oral health throughout the regions. Having grown up in Rockhampton, Dr. Lynlee loves living regionally in Central Queensland, and is committed to caring for the locals. She believes in a holistic and preventative approach to dentistry and will always handle your dental needs with kindness and compassion. Dr. Lynlee loves dogs of all kinds and enjoys spending her weekends outdoors with her husband and fluffy labradoodle, Pippa.
Dr. Christian Thomsen
Dr. Christian Thomsen was born in New Zealand and graduated from the Otago Dental School in Dunedin. He practiced in Auckland for many years and came to Boyne Island in 2003. He has been working with Dr. Kylie Archer ever since. Christian has a strong sense of community involvement and is an active member of BITS Rotary Club and the Tannum Sands RSL. He was President of the Gladstone Arts Council and involved in many Gladstone arts organisations over the years. Christian was also on the last community board of Bindaree Lodge. “Support for local community issues not only make the community stronger but also the individuals stronger,” says Dr. Christian Thomsen.
